In GOPS, both players start with the same hand, with all the spades dealt to you and all the hearts dealt to your opponent. The diamonds are played for during the game. The objective is to score more points than your opponent to win.
Customize your gameplay experience with various options. Choose between easy or hard mode, normal or fast play, and landscape or portrait mode. You can even turn on or off the single-click play feature and sort your cards in ascending or descending order. Additionally, you can customize the color themes and card decks to keep the landscape interesting.
The game follows quickfire rules, where each suit is ranked from Ace (low) to King (high). The goal is to win diamonds by bidding cards from your hand against your opponent. Closed bids are made for the top prize diamond, and the player with the highest bid takes the card. Tied bids have different rules, with the competition card either discarded or its value rolling over to the next round.
After 13 rounds, the game is scored based on the sum of the cards won, with Ace worth one point and King worth 13 points.
